Introduction

  • North American Stamping Group (formerly Cambridge Investments), a privately held company was formed in 1968.
  • The Stamping Division was started in 1979. Each company is separately incorporated and run as a stand-alone unit. To improve customer service/support we have centralized all Sales and Engineering into two centers at our Woodstock, Ontario and Portland, Tennessee facilities. Our Tier 1 customers can communicate with one of the two centers for, design, RFQ’s ,AQP, tool builds, VA /VE, etc. Customer products are then manufactured at a choice of our six facilities to minimize freight cost while maximizing all lean manufacturing principles. Through a large network of tooling suppliers we can offer program management, new tooling, CAD-CAM support and prototypes.
  • Sales are $150 million annually with an employment level of 375. Our organization has been profitable through the years and debt levels are low. Group stamping sales have increased 18% annually for the last three years.
  • Our Woodstock facility has more than 20 years of extensive experience supplying stampings to the exhaust industry. Our product focus includes both light and heavy gauge exhaust, seat components, as well as specialized sub-assemblies. Unique innovations such as our in-die welding technology and in-die tapping have given us a competitive advantage in high volume applications.
  • The two Tennessee facilities combined are the dominant manufacturers of ride control stampings, for both shocks and struts, in the United States. Our customers control the majority of original equipment and aftermarket business.
  • Our Ohio facility specializes in heavy duty brake components for the truck, bus and trailer markets.
  • Our Indiana facility specializes in the noise, vibration and harshness market. Body mounts, engine mounts, inner and outer vibration components for passenger, light car and commercial vehicle are produced.
  • Our Queretaro facility will offer ride control, exhaust, door hinge and seating components.
  • All facilities are Tier II automotive suppliers. In addition to metal stampings, we offer secondary operations in resistance welding, mig welding, tapping, deburring, washing, riveting and assembly. All operations are TS16949 registered.
  • The employees run under total operator control, (i.e., they do their own quality, production, set-up and material handling). We provide an environment that allows for open communication, participation and continual upgrading of skill levels. The operations are non-union and incorporate gain sharing programs.
